Sylvester Stallone’s Reaction To A Cute Baby Crawling On A Rambo Blanket

Sylvester Stallone reacts to a baby on a blanket from Rambo with Stallone jokingly mentioning the child’s potential for appearing in Cliffhanger 2.

The Rambo films chronicled the missions of John Rambo, a Vietnam veteran with PTSD and superior military skills, allowing him to take on enemy troops, corrupt cops, and drug cartels in lone wolf operations.

Rambo: Last Blood was released in 2019 and barely broke even at the box office, reducing chances of any potential sequels. Stallone, however, remains interested in doing a potential sixth Rambo film.

The video shows the baby crawling around on a blanket with Rambo’s face on it, with the year 1982 on it, indicating it was a marketing item for First Blood. Stallone says in the caption how flattering the video is. He then jokingly says the baby could star in Cliffhanger 2, a sequel to Cliffhanger, a film Stallone made in 1993 that never got a sequel. Check out the video below:

Stallone has indicated an interest in making a sequel to Cliffhanger but stated that the film would likely never be made. However, a female-fronted sequel was announced in 2019 with Aquaman’s Jason Momoa in talks for a role and to be directed by Ana Lily Amirpour, director of the cult horror film A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. Since its initial announcement, no filming or release dates have been announced for it.

Stallone wrote the rules that defined the action movies of the 1980s, bringing a testosterone-fueled spectacle complete with the high octane action and large-scale set pieces that are felt in action movies to this day.

Though his output has slowed in recent years, Stallone can entertain audiences with the same steady on-screen presence that has embodied his films for decades. Though a new Rambo is unlikely to happen, it’s clear the franchise’s fans will pass on their enthusiasm to the next generation, thus ensuring Stallone’s legacy as an action hero.
