10 Movies That Would Be 10x Better If They Added Dinosaurs, According To Reddit
Dinosaurs seemingly make anything better, as the prehistoric creatures could be added to any box office bomb and it’d become an instant hit. And for the most part, Redditors have seriously considered what movies would genuinely be made better if dinosaurs were added.

While some Redditors were throwing dinosaurs into classics like Casablanca simply so the iconic quote could be rephrased to “a dinosaur’s looking at you, kid,” it doesn’t go further than being for laughs. However, there are some movies that Redditors mention that somehow make sense, and their elevator pitches are jaw-dropping and better than most of the final results of the movies.

Tomb Raider (2018)
Rent On Apple TV
Redditor Antibara thinks dinosaurs would make the 2018 video game movie better, and while a lot of Redditors are throwing Dinosaurs into films to make them funnier or more outrageous, Tomb Raider actually makes the most sense. In the very first PlayStation Tomb Raider game, a T-Rex can be found in a valley behind the first tomb.
The reveal is one of the most classic moments in video game history, and it would have been amazing to see it come to life on the big screen. However, given how 2018’s Tomb Raider was a more grounded reboot of the iconic video game character, it’d be more fitting to see the T-Rex in the over-the-top Angelina Jolie-starring Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
Dude, Where’s My Car? (2000)
Rent On Vudu
While Dude, Where’s My Car? was a modest box office success when it was first released in 2000, it has unfortunately become a forgotten gem. The film was critically scathed, but between the sci-fi and fantastical elements, the stoner comedy is actually underrated.
But despite all of the unusual events already in the movie, 939388383883 thinks the film still needs dinosaurs. In fairness, it could be a great final act, as the end of the movie interpolates Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, so it could make for a hilarious kaiju-like movie. There are weirder things that happen in the film.
Alien Vs. Predator (2004)
Stream On Tubi
User Zemplis thinks dinosaurs would make the crossover horror movie Alien vs. Predator better. There’s no doubt that dinosaurs would make it even more of an epic movie crossover, and Alien vs. Predator vs. Dinosaurs does have a ring to it. And given how most of the Redditors bring to memory mostly critically acclaimed films, Alien vs. Predator was universally hated and suffered a critical scathing, so the movie could totally be improved by adding dinosaurs.

On top of that, the Redditor makes a great point that “it would make perfect sense for a Predator to hunt a T-Rex. It would make an amazing trophy.” As explained in the movies, Predators don’t hunt humans for food, but because they want to establish their dominance, so hunting dinosaurs would prove that the species is the ultimate apex predator.
The Terminator (1984)
Stream On Amazon Prime, The Roku Channel, Hoopla, and Tubi
Despite it being an influential sci-fi movie, Phaazing still thinks The Terminator could be better if dinosaurs were added somehow. But while it seems like a stretch, the Redditor actually has a great elevator pitch about how to incorporate dinosaurs into the classic 1984 movie.
In the film, “they made a miscalculation and sent him back 65 million years.” It’d make for an almost compelling sci-fi-horror-comedy, as the T-800 takes on dinosaurs as he wonders where Sarah Connor is. And if anybody thinks it’s too ridiculous, it sounds a lot like the video game Far Cry: Blood Dragon, which is a visual spectacle and an entertaining cult hit. In fact, it’s almost exactly the same as the ’80s classic.
The Truman Show (1998)
Stream On HBO Max
Many fans believe The Truman Show needs a sequel, as it ends with Truman, who was unknowingly the subject of a reality show his whole life, exiting into the real world. There are so many character study-like avenues a sequel could go down, such as Truman struggling to cope with what has been hidden from him for 30+ years, but Totallynotabearbro has another idea.
The Redditor thinks it should “play out like the ending of 10 Cloverfield Lane. A brief mention that something is up outside and it is safe in this fake life.” And the Reddit user thinks that when Truman leaves through the sky door, he sees dinosaurs ruling the world, just like they did millions of years ago.
The Fast And The Furious (2001)
Stream On HBO Max
Redditor TheMan5991 wants to see dinosaurs added to the increasingly outrageous Fast & Furious franchise. The Redditor rhetorically asks, “Really? Nobody has mentioned a Fast & Furious movie yet? Who doesn’t wanna see La Familia race friggin’ dinosaurs!?”
As there’s an increasing suspension of disbelief that’s required with each consecutive Fast & Furious movie, the appearance of dinosaurs at some point down the line is almost inevitable. Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia in the Fast series, has even expressed that a Jurassic Park/Fast crossover would be fun, so the idea of dinosaurs in the series has certainly crossed producers’ minds. However, Jurassic Park is only one of many franchises Fast & Furious should cross over with.
Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (2008)
Stream On Paramount+
There’s no doubt that Indiana Jones is one of the greatest movie series ever, and until 2008, it was in contention for the greatest movie trilogy of all time. However, a fourth movie arrived and it didn’t come close to the quality of the first three films.

While there are reasons Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is underrated, one of the unforgivable directions it went in was science fiction, as it nonsensically incorporated aliens. It almost seemed like director Steven Spielberg was getting his franchises mixed up. Justbreathe5678 that dinosaurs should be added to the fourquel simply because it “would be better than aliens”
John Wick (2014)
Rent On Vudu
2014’s John Wick is a jaw-dropping movie and a must-watch for fans of fight choreography. The film famously popularized gun-fu in action movies and singlehandedly changed the landscape of action films in the 2010s. But ADGM1868 thinks that the incredible stuntwork and action sequences don’t quite cut it, and instead of expendable henchmen, Wick should be taking on dinosaurs.
Throughout the trilogy, Wick has creatively murdered fellow assassins with books, horses, and he even killed three men with one pencil. But he’d have to get a little more creative when he’s face to face with a group of velociraptors. And while it wouldn’t make any sense, it’d still be a lot of fun.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Stream On Disney+
As if there wasn’t enough packed into the 2019 epic superhero movie already, Baconboi007 thinks that Avengers: Endgame would be better if dinosaurs were added. The Redditor sets the scene, “just imagine the final battle and a T-Rex chomping up Thanos’ army.”
The final battle between the Avengers and Thanos’ army saw more than 20 superheroes on screen, not to mention that Ant-Man alone is the size of the T-Rex, albeit not quite as terrifying. So there isn’t much need for any more characters, even if they are prehistoric. And fans can watch Jurassic World if they want to see Christ Pratt face off against velociraptors.
Cast Away (2000)
Stream On Amazon Prime
User Nanojack wants to see the emotionally exhausting survival drama add dinosaurs, positing, “what if… in his fragile state, he thought he saw a volleyball with a bloody handprint, but it was actually a diplodocus all along?” The Redditor is referring to the inanimate volleyball that Chuck Noland befriends and names Wilson.
2000’s Cast Away is a riveting survival movie, but Chuck Noland doesn’t necessarily have to defend himself against any kind of prey. The movie could work better if the plane crash survivor found himself on Isla Nublar instead of the uninhabited island, where Jurassic Park’s monsters fled to. That would make for a real survival flick.
