John Cena Opens Up On His Feud With Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson: “It Was Stupid of Me”

One of the most followed feuds in the WWE world is that of 16 times world champion John Cena and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Cena has now come out and confessed that he handled things in a wrong way then and even called The Rock a ‘sell-out’. Is this a closure to the feud between the two? Read on.

For the unversed, The Rock left his WWE career at a point when he was one of the most sought after wrestlers. His decision to enter films leaving behind boxing had left us all in shock. Throughout the years, we saw him in films like Jumanji, Baywatch, Hobbs and Shaw, and the list goes on.

Following The Rock, John Cena also entered Hollywood. John Cena later went on to make remarks about The Rock in various interviews.

The rivalry brought the two opposite to each other in 2011 in Wrestlemania XXVll. In the event which was hosted by The Rock, John Cena became the winner. Later in Wrestlemania 28, Dwayne won over Cena and the tables turned in 29.

Now talking about their feud according to a report in The Sun, John Cena said, “I said some things that were less than nice. He said some things that were less than nice.”

“I can assure you, in our line of work there is a grey area where imagination becomes very real and we were right in the sweet spot of that grey area, each watching the other’s every move and not too happy with the other party,” John Cena added.

“It was stupid of me. It genuinely was. That was my perspective at the time,” John admitted.

Well, we hope this a new beginning for the two. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments section below.
